Bologna - Double world champion , Casey Stoner , MotoGP will return to the stage in 2016. Stoner was recruited as an official test driver and brand ambassador Ducati after ending his contract with Honda .
The Australian rider won only one championship title for Ducati in his first season to join in 2007. During the four seasons with the Italian manufacturer Stoner produce 42 podiums and 23 victories before leaving to Honda and won the second world championship title in 2011 .
At the end of next season, Stoner decided to retire but still visible in the garage of Honda as a test driver. Rejection of bid Stoner Honda will be the replacement rider Dani Pedrosa in Austin and Argentina this season is believed to contribute on the decision back to the Ducati.
"All this time I've sailed the great adventure with HRC during the last five years, won the world championship in 2011 was the best moment and I've been friends with many people and establish ties," said Stoner on Crash.net.
"For 2016 I am very happy to announce that I will return to join the Ducati! I have lots of wonderful memory with the people there and the Ducati brand and the opportunity to work with them again is something very special."
"Teeth Dall'lgna (general manager Ducati) has brought a new approach and I look forward to helping the team, Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone can."
